poster instructions

We are looking forward to your participation in the poster sessions at AAMAS 2004!
Below are some general instructions.

very brief session advertisements
To provide poster authors with an opportunity to “briefly” explain key features of their work to delegates in the symposium setting, we are allocating each paper 2-3 minutes advertisement time in one of the paper sessions. To minimize technical logistics, poster advertisements will be done using overhead project transparencies (maximum 2 transparencies) - facilities for PowerPoint or other data projection will not be provided for poster authors in the sessions. Poster authors are also required to prepare a display for one of the scheduled lunchtime discussion sessions (see below). Posters advertised before Thursday mid day will be manned at the Thursday poster session. The other posters will be manned at the Friday poster session.

Please check the schedule on the technical program page to find the session in which your paper will be presented. Plan to arrive at least 5 minutes before the session starts. Introduce yourself to the session chair.

presentations
Posters should be limited to fit within a space of 4 feet X 4 feet (1.21m x 1.21 m). Authors may choose to bring a single poster or display a number of smaller sheets in this space. The organizers will provide materials for attaching the posters to the display boards (i.e., pushpins). Each poster board will have a small card attached with the poster number. You will receive your poster place assignment with your registration package at Columbia. At the conference, please find your assigned poster place and attach your material.

Posters will be displayed in the lunch area on their designated day, so it is envisaged that delegates will be able to look at the posters during breaks, as well as during official poster sessions. Presenters are therefore asked to make their poster as self explanatory as possible -- as well as attractive.

Presenters are expected to be available beside their poster during their scheduled 1.5 hour session, in order to take questions and discuss their work with delegates.
