The AAMAS-05 conference will be located at the Educatorium, the conference center of the Utrecht University. This conference and education center is an important landmark designed by Remco Koolhaas, an internationally acclaimed architect (who won several prestigious architecture awards). Many architecture students from all over the world come to study this building.


The Educatorium has 2 big lecture halls with a capacity of around 500- 600 people each, plus three additional (flat) lecture rooms with a capacity of around 200-300 people. Within the conference center there is a restaurant that seats around 1000 people. Next to the restaurant there are 15 computer terminals with Internet access.

The conference center is situated on the university campus. The Utrecht University campus is located in Uithof, on the outskirts of Utrecht, but is very well connected by public transport. There are buses from central Utrecht to the campus every 3 minutes taking about 15 minutes for the ride.

PLEASE NOTE: with the registration to the AAMAS conference you will get a 5-day OV pass (Monday to Friday).


Another, very Dutch, way of transport that can be used are bikes (they can be rented via the hotels or at the train station: €5,40/day or € 22,-/week).
